Once again I find myself with a green and purple smoothie/ smoothie bowl and yet again it is a different flavor combo. Acai smoothie bowls are delicious, if you haven’t tried one I highly recommend it. Again I like to mix things up so I paired a Tropical Green Smoothie with an Acai one. Weather you enjoy this as a smoothie or a smoothie bowl it is a delicious combo I hope you enjoy as much as I do. My only complaint about acai smoothies is that I can’t seem to get photos that do them justice.

Tropical Acai Green Smoothie

Makes 1-2 servings

1 frozen acai packet

1 banana, fresh or frozen (used frozen)

1c almond or non dairy milk of choice (used So Delicious Almond Milk Plus)

Big handful of spinach

1/2c fresh or frozen chunks pineapple (used frozen)

1 scoop tropical protein (Vega Protein Smoothie Tropical Tango)

Optional toppings (such as nuts, dried or fresh fruits, seeds, coconut, ect) as desired if making into a Tropical Acai Green Smoothie Bowl.

In a Vitamix, or high-speed blender, blend together 3/4 cup of the almond milk, spinach, pineapple, and protein until smooth. Pour into large glass/glasses, or bowl. Rinse blender, optional as the next smoothie will be darker. Blend together acai, banana, and remaining almond milk until smooth. You may need to use the tamper tool if using a frozen banana, with a smoothie bowl you want it to be thick. If you want you can add more milk to reach desired consistency if making a smoothie. Pour over green smoothie layer. Top with optional toppings if desired. Enjoy!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I receive some Vega products, which I used as an option in this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me , I do purchase many on my own as well, but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging and some recipes are made with Vega products I purchase. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family. I do not make any money off any Vega sales or posts.
