Apple Quinoa Breakfast Bowl
makes 1
1/2- 1 c cooked organic quinoa
1/2 organic apple, chopped
1/2-1 banana, sliced
1 TBSP raw sliced almonds
1 TBSP raisins
Vanilla Almond Milk, or other milk of choice (used Silk Vanilla Almond Milk)
*Add more or less of what you like. Don’t have quinoa use left over brown rice or make some oats. You can use walnuts or pecans in place of almonds. Craisins or chopped dates can be used in place of raisins. Play around, use what you have, customize it however you want!
This breakfast bowl is delicious warm or cold. I like to just throw it all together cold and then pour steamed almond milk over the top. You can use as little or as much milk as you want, sometimes I use just a slash and others I will add more to make it more like cereal. If you want it cold just put all the ingredients in a bowl. If you want it warm you can warm your quinoa and then add in toppings or put it all together and then heat it up. Add a little cinnamon if you like, I love cinnamon but prefer the natural flavors of this bowl without. However you make it I hope you enjoy this breakfast bowl as much as I do!
