As a member of Peanut Butter & Co’s Yum Squad I got the opportunity to play with their new Chocmeister in the kitchen. I already knew I loved it as I tried it at Expo West in March and I couldn’t wait for the girls to try it. Chocmeister is a chocolate hazelnut spread but has less sugar and more protein than other chocolate hazelnut spreads. I went with the Dark Chocolate Chocmeister as it is dairy free. Of course the girls loved it and the first thing I made was waffles layered with Chocmeister and strawberries, and others adding in Fluff. I had planned on posting that but just wasn’t feeling it. If you saw the picture of it I posted on social media you may have also seen that I broke our waffle iron making them. I thought back to the time we had another chocolate hazelnut spread and it was in Ireland and we had a lot of it. We had taken peanut butter and almond butter with us but we blew through that and when we went to the store we weren’t impressed with ones we tried so we picked up a chocolate hazelnut spread, Nutella, that is very popular there and well we loved it. I didn’t buy it when we got back home because well the sugar content and we had enough to that treat. So again I was happy when I heard about Chocmeister. Thinking about one of the things we loved most Nutella and fresh bakery bread sandwiches, usually with bananas in the middle I thought, HELLO? Bananas and chocolate have to be one of top combos ever created. Of course there is peanut butter and almost anything but all those aside it has to be one of the best. So I tried to go a healthier direction and went with chia pudding, since my oldest LOVES her chia. Chia drinks, chia bars, chia pudding, chia anything. I’m waiting for her to start sprouting like a chia pet, haha. A isn’t as big of a fan but blended up she is good. So I took one of our favorites and added a little twist with Chocmesiter, making Banana Chocmeister Chia Cups! Perfect for breakfast or dessert you can keep the chia pudding as is or blend it for a creamier texture. So I am sharing the girls two favorite versions. A breakfast version with texture that is easy to make and can be enjoyed on the go, layering a chunky banana chia pudding with a ripple, and in this case drizzle, of Chocmeister. For dessert you blend the soaked chia seeds with banana, frozen if you want a real treat, and layer with Chocmeister and (coconut) whipped cream! You really can’t go wrong with either as they are both delicious and leave you satisfied! Like I said with less sugar and more protein in Chocmeister I am ok adding it to healthy banana chia pudding for a breakfast for the girls or turning into a healthy dessert adding in the coconut whipped cream. I personally love both versions and even add in a little vanilla protein when enjoying the breakfast version (and a little extra milk to reach desired consistency).
So that you can give our Banana Chocmeister Chia Cups a try my friends at Peanut Butter & Co have allowed me to giveaway a jar of Chocmeister and have given me a code for $1 off any jar of Chocmeister, code “Chocolatey” (not case sensitive, and will expire on July 31st) to share with my readers.

First, I would make this because I LOVE chia seed pudding and the option to make a dessert out of it just blew my mind. Secondly, I think I would make chocolate chip cookies stuffed with the chocmeister in the middle! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity 🙂

I would use it to bake. So many delicious recipes which are grain free call for nut butter. I have never seen this in stores so I Am not sure it is sold in the area. I would love to try it.

Ooooh, I need to find Chocmeister if it’s dairy free and less sugar than Nutella! I miss Nutella sometimes as I don’t eat dairy but this will be a great alternative. The banana chia cups with it sound wonderful. I wish my mom made me stuff like that when I was young lol.

Now this is cool! You did the drizzle so perfectly. That was an ingenious idea to put it into chia pudding. I like how you thought outside of the box and went from doing something with peanut butter and made a pudding out of it.
awhiskandtwowands
Thank you Emily!

Chocmeister sounds delicious – that other chocolate-hazelnut spread is way too sweet for my taste!

Mine too, I really like the Dark Chocolate Chocmeister but I am also a dark chocolate fan as a lot of other chocolate is too sweet for me.
