Blueberry Baby Beet Green Smoothie

Green smoothies don’t have to be green! I always mix up the greens I use for my smoothies and thinning out the beets in the garden means baby beet greens to use in my smoothies! This is one of the smoothies I whipped up with my baby beet greens.

Blueberry Baby Beet Green Smoothie

Makes 1 serving

1c non dairy milk of choice (used So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk Plus)

3/4-1c blueberries

handful or two of baby beet greens (I left the thin tender stems on)

1 frozen banana, frozen makes it thick and creamy

1 scoop of protein or nutritional powder (used Vega One French Vanilla), optional

additional supplements you add to your green smoothies can be added as well, optional (I added 1tsp Navitas Naturals Gelatinized Maca Powder)

ice, optional

Add all ingredients to a Vitamix or high-speed blender and blend until smooth! Enjoy!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I receive Vega products, which I used as an option in this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging and some recipes are made with Vega products I purchase. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
