Who doesn’t love a brownie? These guilt free Chocolate Maca Brownie Bites are actually good for you! They are packed with energy, protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and did I mention they are delicious? Not that you needed an excuse to eat a brownie!
Chocolate Maca Brownie Bites (no bake)
Makes an 8×8 pan, 16 brownies
½ c chocolate protein powder, cacao powder, or combination of (used 50/50 Vega Energizing Smoothie Choc-A-Lot and cocao powder)
1/2- 1 Vega Chocolate Maca Bar, chopped (used a whole bar)
1c pitted Medjool dates
1c raw almonds
1/8 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp pure vanilla or vanilla bean (optional)
Place almonds in a food processor and grind until you reach a course flour texture. Add dates, protein and or cacao powder, and salt, processing until a moist, crumb-like dough has formed. Press mixture into a 8×8 inch pan lined with parchment paper. Top with Chocolate Maca pressing firmly into brownie layer. Cut into bite-size squares and enjoy!
Store remaining bites in the refrigerator if not eating right away. I like these best at room temp.
