Today is National Pecan Pie Day so I thought I would attempt a Chocolate Pecan Pie Protein Shake!
Chocolate Pecan Pie Protein Shake
Makes 1 serving, or 2 smaller shakes
1c unsweetened non dairy milk (used So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk Plus, for the added protein)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (used Vega One Chocolate)
1/4c pecan halves
1tsp coconut palm sugar (Navitas Naturals)
1/2tsp mesquite, optional (Navitas Naturals)
1-2 pitted dates, optional but will add thickness and sweetness
1c ice, optional (I like mine cold)
Blend everything together in a Vitamix or high-speed blender until smooth. Top with optional additional pecan pieces and a little coconut palm sugar and cinnamon. Enjoy!
