Any fig fans out there? Figs are naturally delicious and sweet and are everywhere this time of year so I decided to make protein shake with them. I make this simple one depending on my mood using natural protein powder when I just want to taste the fig, chai when I want to spice it up, and vanilla when I am indifferent.
Fig Chia Protein Shake
Makes 1 serving
1- 1 1/2 c unsweetened almond milk, or non dairy milk of choice (used So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk Plus, for extra protein)
5 mission figs
1 scoop chai, vanilla, or natural protein powder (used Vega One Chai for this one, love it with all 3 flavors)
1 TBSP chia seeds, plus extra for sprinkling on top
Place everything into a Vitamix, or high-speed blender, and blend until smooth. Pour into glass, sprinkle with chia seeds, enjoy!
