Fluffernutter Protein Shake (light version)

Fluffernutters seem to be more common than I thought or should I say there are more fans of the Fluffernutter out there and following my blog than I thought. If you are not familiar with the Fluffernutter it is a sandwich made with peanut butter and marshmallow cream, or fluff, usually served on white bread. Instead of making the girls Fluffernutter Milkshakes with ice cream I decided to make protein shakes. A lighter healthier version all they way to the ultimate with a simple dairy free marshmallow fluff whipped cream! Although this isn’t a shake, well other than the lighter version, I would consume after a normal workout it would be fun after a very active day, big race, or one of the girls soccer tournaments. Or it would be a great alternative to a traditional dessert as it is packed with protein and would have less sugar and a lot more protein and nutrition, especially if made with Vega One or Vega Protein & Greens, than most desserts. Life is all about moderation and balance, oh and having fun and living each and every day to its fullest! Little did I know a week or so after I made this when going through my posts and trying to get my schedule loosely set up for October that I would find out that October 8th is National Fluffernutter Day! Yes there really does seem to be a day for everything. Not a normal posting day as I had moved to 3 posts a week but having extra posts in cue that need to get posted I had to hold out and share it on National Fluffernutter Day! If you were looking for a reason to try a Fluffernutter or like them but don’t often have them or haven’t since you were a kid this may be just the reason you need to have one today. Cheers!

While I do receive some Vega products from time to time, which I listed as an option in this recipe, I do purchase much of it on my own. It has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging. Even though most Vega products used are purchased by myself I do add this disclaimer. I do not make any money off any Vega sales or posts. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.

They’re not my thing either, more like a dessert but the kids like them on occasion. Since I see it as a dessert I think this was a berry way to enjoy it then a sandwich.

  2. This is SO cute!! I love the ingredients you used, and as we know, Vega makes everything better!!:)

Thank you! Yes Vega always makes everything better and with the twist and Vega there is not some nutrition in it verses the sandwich version.
