Gimme S'more Milk Bites marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers
Gimme S’more Milk Bites

Summertime screams s’mores and Baby G screams for more milk, so Gimmie S’more Milk Bites! know I shared a snack bite, aka ball, aka whole food nutritional boosted lactation bite (hence the name) recipe last week and didn’t plan on sharing one today but whipping them up for our BWCA trip and then going to write up a post in the car yesterday while on the way to my oldest daughter S’s State Tournament and not having all my ducks in a row it’s how things rolled. I forgot how much stuff a baby needs and how long it takes to get out of the house. I figured it couldn’t take any longer than a teenager but some days I’m wrong.

Luckily snack bites like this are on repeat, I eat them daily, and something everyone can enjoy! Not to mention they’re great to have on hand for all your summer adventures or in general as I find schedules and things are always busy in the summer. We always seem to be on the go and I thought this summer would be different but not really we still have trips and adventures planned just not any out of state.

While I made these to take with on our camping trip they keep disappearing like my Milk Monster Cookie Dough Bites! Every time I open the fridge it seems like more have disappeared. I usually grab one here or sometimes two if I’m running out the door but apparently someone thinks you grab a handful of them, which for my husband apparently means 4! Yes 4!

Don’t think I’m sick of my Milk Monster Cookie Dough Bites because I’m not, I just made 2 batches of those to take with, I just had other inspiration for these. I like s’mores, don’t LOVE them like I use to since last summer but I chalk that up to nausea and not feeling well last summer as I found out I was pregnant just after the 4th. We got back from vacation and I thought I was just dehydrated but nope. We’ve only had s’mores a couple times this year and my love hasn’t returned yet, but neither has my love for chocolate and sweets.

So why did I make these? Why do I love them so much?
Well because they’re delicious and because with a baby I don’t envision late nights by the campfire.

Also the thought of sticky marshmallow fingers, a fire, roasting a marshmallow…. with a baby yeah nope I think we’ll be enjoying the campfire from a little farther away. That is IF the smell of campfire doesn’t make me sick. Yep use to love the smell but again being camping and around campfires during the first trimester last summer made me sick and when we had one a few weeks ago on Memorial Day weekend I wasn’t a fan.

So maybe Baby G and I will just relax on the dock and watch the stars while I enjoy my s’mores, aka my Gimme S’more Milk Bites. Cherishing every moment with him and the family. Cannot believe he’s 3 months old today!

Of course I gave these delicious, and healthy, bites a boost to meet my needs as a nursing mama. Also the reason I’m making and eating so many snack bites. This also meant a fun and silly name. However when I’m not nursing I’ll still be making these for myself and my family just omitting the Brewer’s yeast and maybe the flaxseed but flaxseed is a healthy nutritional addition for everyone. They just have a little more of a dessert or snacky feel without it.

All the nutritional (and milk boosting) benefits are the same as my Milk Monster Cookie Dough Bites as the only changes are swapping the pretzels and raisins for graham crackers and marshmallows and peanut butter for cashew or almond butter. Almond butter also helps with milk production but cashew butter is just so delicious and a weakness so I used it on my last couple batches. Use what you like and what you have on hand.

So this week my heart will likely be screaming for s’mores while Baby G is screaming for more milk so Gimme S’more Milk Bites!
