The summer games and Opening Ceremony are getting so close you can almost feel it! Today we bring you a smoothie bowl inspired by the yellow Olympic ring, a Go For The Gold Smoothie Bowl! Maybe my favorite since with recovering from injury turmeric is a fav and a daily go to in my life. Nothing screams gold like golden turmeric milk! Sorry but really I couldn’t stray much from a fav on this one. Sorry I tried I really did but I had to go with the tried and true and with it’s amazing benefits when it comes to physical recovery I had no choice. If you’re going for the gold you’re training hard and recovery is a huge part of that. So yes this is very much like my Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Bowl but I mixed up the toppings. No time to make an chill turmeric milk grab one of my favorite bottled turmeric beverages, REBBL Turmeric Golden Milk. Or if you just want the color you can use coconut milk and add a little turmeric powder.
I did switch up the toppings, especially because I found these cute dried pineapple rings that look like flowers that my husband bought at Trader Joes. I also wanted to add my fav Maca Maple Cashews but I went to grab them and forgot I just used them up with another recipe I’ll be sharing soon and I haven’t gotten to the store yet. I was so bummed but grabbed another fav my Whole Me Lemon Berry Chia Clusters for some texture. Of course this is again for inspiration and you can have it your way and top as desired. Go For The Gold Smoothie Bowl
Makes 1 serving
1/2c frozen mango
1/2 frozen banana
1/2c frozen pineapple
1c chilled homemade turmeric milk, bottled turmeric milk like REBBL Turmeric Golden Milk, or 1c coconut milk and 1/2 turmeric powder
Toppings: Dried pineapple and Whole Me Lemon Berry Chia Clusters. Or pineapple, coconut, mangos, bananas, nuts, seeds, or other toppings of choice.
In a Vitamix, or high-speed blender with a taper tool, blend together fruit and turmeric milk together until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with pineapple and chia clusters, or toppings of choice. Enjoy!
