HELLO! Home sweet home I’m back and I’m feeling a refreshed and motivated yet trying to catch up. It’s that love hate of vacations but I have some big goals this month and starting with time away with family was a perfect start and great way to recharge. Goals require some fuel and today is going to start with this Golden Goddess Smoothie and an early morning barre class, hopefully! Starting with a long, long, really long, list of recipes I want to make, test, and create this month and next with the girls. I also have some personal goals at barre this month and I have limited time to attack them as I’m starting 10 days into the month, we have a family camping trip at the end of the month, and the girls still have soccer and unknown soccer at that with state qualifiers and tournaments. This means some very early mornings and lots of 5:30am barre classes so hopefully I get to bed before my usual midnight lately. It’s gonna be a really rough week I think.
What I look forward to even more than ever when I return home after being gone is all the fruits, veggies, and healthy eats. Even if I eat healthy on vacation, which didn’t happen this time, I’m always craving the normal things that I didn’t have. I took the Vitamix with but only used it for fresh strawberry margaritas and strawberry milkshakes with the strawberries we picked. I did bring muesli and other staples but that didn’t last as long as I had hoped with all the fresh berries to pair them with and I took as much as I could and I wasn’t able to get replacements where we were. We were active which is good since I didn’t get in any “workouts”. I planned to run with my husband but that didn’t happen either. We did a lot of kayaking and biking though so I’m fine with that. Especially since I got a new bike! Yep we got up north to my parents and found out the next day that the girls had grown so much their bikes were too small. Big fail! I should have known with how much they’ve grown and my S being over 2 inches taller than me already and she’s only 13. She didn’t see any bikes she wanted, she rode mine while I was out with my mom and wanted one like mine. Well she really wanted mine and since I fell in love with a comfort bike I gave her my Trek, A got her sister’s Trek, and I got a new bike. Not the one I fell in love with since it was too big for me and the only one in my size in our state was less than a mile from our house! Yep that’s how things went but I got the same type but without the fun and curtness and will just add a little, and the color suits me better anyways. If only it would have had a basket though I could have ridden it to get berries, and… trust me my family didn’t hear the end about me not being able to get my basket which is another story.
OK what you really care about… this Golden Goddess Smoothie! You may have already seen this on my Instagram Stories since I couldn’t wait to share it and wanted to last week but really needed the break. It’s versatile and a fav that I love in the morning, especially before barre, or in the afternoon to get me through long busy days. I love golden milk and while it can be used to make this smoothie I didn’t plan recently and stumbled on a new combo! Not having golden milk made, or REBBL Golden Turmeric Milk I did have a new fav Juice So Good Longevity Wellness Shot in the fridge and it was golden in this recipe and a great sub for golden milk and I even liked it better. The shot is made with organic turmeric, organic orange, organic raw honey, organic cinnamon, and probiotics. Many juice shops have turmeric shots so if you already buy those and have them on hand they might also be an option. Blended with pineapple, mango, and optional chia seeds it’s already a great start to the day. Another new product I’m loving that I’ve shared on Instagram and last week is Navitas Organics new Daily Boosts. These were great to take with last week as they have so many of my favorite superfoods that I use on a regular basis packed into one. My two favorites in this smoothie are the Focus and Beauty. The Focus is by far my favorite and has maca, matcha, yerba mate, mushroom blend (including reishi) and ashwagandha! The list goes on with acai, mauqi, lucuma, ect. I just started using the Beauty Daily Boost to help with skin, nail, and hair health which is more important as I age. Since adding a boost or any superfoods alters the golden color I decided to go back to my fun layered smoothies and add a fun pink superfood twist with pitaya! This combo is golden and will have you feeling fueled, focused, and like a goddess!
Again if you aren’t able to get ingredients there is usually a sub. Use either homemade Golden Turmeric Milk, store bought golden turmeric milk, or homemade or cold pressed nut milk and a turmeric shot like I used and as noted above. If you only have pineapple or mango sub and use just one for both. If you don’t have pitaya you can sub a frozen acai packed or berries of choice. For superfoods use what you would normally add to your smoothies that you think would work with flavors (ie hemp seeds, maca, reshi, collagen, ect).
Oh and yes it is Monday, not that I forgot, so that means Meatless Monday! I look forward to seeing all of your recipes if you decided to link up with my co-host Deborah and me. Otherwise I hope you are inspired by one of the wonderful recipes linked up below.
I have a love hate relationship with Monday and this one I’m just as torn as I’m ready to hit my goals but will miss the relaxing vacation days where time and days don’t matter and it’s all fun, games, and giggles!

I started using it a couple years ago but in the last year it’s definitely become more readily available. I use to have to order it online. Having girls I had to get it for the bright pink color when I first got it.

Yes! I love turmeric. The wellness shot is a nice time saver instead of making golden milk! These look so delicious!
