I'm ready to get things going with a Kickin' Mango Smoothie! #fitfluential #sweatpink #fitfam Share on X
Sometimes I like things sweet, sometimes I like them spicy, and sometimes I want both! This was a case of wanting both, which seems a little odd as when I first made this smoothie it was intended to be a refreshing smoothie after a workout. Blending up some mango and coconut water and thoughts of spicy Diavolo Pasta ran through my head so I grabbed some cayenne and added a dash to my smoothie. Yep it was good. I tried it again with protein and yep good. Maybe it comes from all the glasses of lemon maple water with cayenne I’ve been drinking or desire for Pressery Habanero Lemonade I wish I could get here. Whatever the reason I guess it doesn’t matter I just think it seems a little odd to want something with a kick of heat after getting my butt kicked. So I also decided to enjoy it pre workout with my energizer to get me kickin’ before my workout, and it worked. Ok so maybe it was just the Vega Energizer since that works without the cayenne, coconut water, and mango. So weather you are looking for a new smoothie after your got your butt kicked from a good workout or your looking for something to get you kickin’ this might be one to try.
Kickin’ Mango Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
1 ripe mango, peeled and pitted (use 1/2 if adding protein, whole mango if not)
1c coconut water or coconut milk
pinch to dash of cayenne pepper
scoop of plain protein or pre workout energizer, optional (used Vega One Natural and also like with Vega Sport Tropical Energizer)
1c ice, optional
In a Vitamix, or high-speed blender, blend together mango, coconut water, cayenne, optional protein and or ice until smooth. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper, optional. Enjoy!
While I do receive some Vega products from time to time, which I listed as an option in this recipe, I do purchase much of it on my own. It has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging. Even though most Vega products used are purchased by myself I do add this disclaimer. I do not make any money off any Vega sales or posts. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
