So I wrote the post below for Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip (Protein) Shakes, which was possibly one of the best protein shake drinks that I have ever tasted. This was well over 6 months ago and I realized the other day I never shared it. I remember making it and not posting it right away because I kept coming up with other things to post and then was going to wait for National Peanut Butter Day or something exciting. Of course I came up with other peanut butter creations. Well since than our nut butter collection has more than tripled, and we have been noticing a lot more squirrels hanging around. Well today (Sept 20th) while I was on Twitter I found out about a contest that some of my favorite brands, Vega, Justin’s, and Silk was having where you could win a smoothie kit. Since reading that post I have had nothing but an almond butter shake on the brain and so I decided to do something I haven’t done it awhile, a double post. Yep two posts in one day. Since I have two races tomorrow I was going to pre schedule a post but instead I think I will post this early for tomorrow. So this Almond Butter Shake…. oh and I updated the post to be called Nothing Better than Nut Butter Shakes, I am sure you can see why…mmm!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I received Vega products to use in creating this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant based protein of choice since before I started blogging. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
