For a fun healthy 4th of July treat we made some Patriotic Pops! This isn’t an exact recipe as it will depend on the popsicle maker you are making and exactly what ingredients you use. It is more of a guideline, inspiration, and quick run down of how we made ours.
Patriotic Pops!
Stars- yogurt and coconut milk
Blue- yogurt, coconut milk, fresh blueberries, a little stevia in the raw
Stripes- yogurt, coconut milk, and stevia in the raw for white; strawberries, coconut milk, and stevia for the red
We blended out mixtures in the Vitamix. The amounts and method will depend on the popsicle maker. If using a thicker yogurt you will need to add more milk. For the stars I mixed a little milk with the yogurt and poured a thin layer out in the plastic lid and then cut stars out with a small cookie cutter. We used our Zoku Pop Maker and I placed the stars in on the sides and poured the blue layer in until just above the stars and inserted the sticks. As soon as that was set I used the bulb syringe that came in our Zoku set and put set a red layer on top of the blue, placed it back in the freezer a couple of minutes until set and then added a white strip with the bulb syringe alternating until the popsicle molds were full. I let set for about 3-4 minutes and then removed the pops! Enjoy!

Are you saying that stevia works with the zoku quick ice pop maker? Every recipe in their book says to use sugar, agave, or honey. If stevia works then I will be ecstatic.

With yogurt it works. I have tried before only once with plain fruit puree only and didn’t have the best results, they weren’t consistantly coming out well. I have been ok when mixing it with fruit puree in small layers with yougurt, peanut butter, ect.
