It is no secret I love Starbucks and like having coffee dates there with my girls. This is just one of the healthier versions I make at home. Dress it up and add whipped cream and crushed candy cane pieces, I didn’t have any whip cream made up after whipping it up after my workout so I just used vanilla coconut milk yogurt around the rim and added crushed candy canes, or have it plain. No matter how you make it it is sure to hit the spot after a workout, for a snack, or a healthy dessert.
Peppermint Mocha Protein Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
1c non dairy milk of choice (used So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk Plus, for the extra protein)
1 scoop protein chocolate (used Vega Choc-A-Lot Protein Smoothie)
Mint leaves or peppermint extract to taste (amount will also depend on if you use pure peppermint, make sure to start out with a little and add more as needed), you could also use peppermint syrup if you use that
2 shots espresso, optional
ice, optional (I like mine cold!)
optional crushed peppermints, whipped cream, and or chocolate pieces
Blend everything (except optional toppings) together in a Vitamix, or high-speed blender, until smooth. Top with additional toppings as desired. Enjoy!
As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I receive Vega products, which I used as an option in this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging and some recipes are made with Vega products I purchase. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.

AWESOME Smoothie!:) By far my favorite combination of flavors. Yes, yes, yes! I have this combo every single day actually but usually throw in some greens too. Great recipe!

Thank you!! Some of my favs too! I have been having chocolate peppermint and chocolate peppermint mocha smoothies a lot lately, hmm not sure why. 😉 I have thrown greens in but not when I make it with coffee. You add greens when you add espresso?

High quality Peppermint essential oil would work well, too! I’ve been playing with those a lot lately!

Yes I do also use Peppermint oil but find sometimes people use a little more than a drop (if trying it for the first time) and it is very strong. They are fun to play with!
