Pink Passion Probiotic Smoothie Bowl

Pink Passion Probiotic Smoothie Bowl

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner which means we have even more of a reason to enjoy all the pink smoothies and smoothie bowls! Not that we need any reason to make smoothie bowls. One we’re loving right now is this simple Pink Passion Probiotic Smoothie Bowl. As I’ve written about lately we are all about the probiotics, especially sparkling probiotics and kombucha. The girls love it just as much as me and we really need our own fridge just to keep them in since they often take up a lot of room in the fridge. I’ve posted on Instagram Stories how crazy it’s gotten when I did a little “What’s in our fridge” after being asked the question. We’ve been putting them into our smoothies and smoothie bowls too. It’s perfect for those days when we find that one bottle or two that got moved around and hidden and oh no we have a couple bottles we need to drink today. Or when we try a new flavor that we aren’t crazy about hey in the smoothie in goes because we aren’t going to waste it. The girls also like this with creamy drinkable yogurt probiotics like dairy free Good Karma.

The best thing about smoothie bowls besides being delicious and packed with nutrition is the toppings! This means everyone can have it their way, plus this smoothie bowl is easily customizable so I show you two of our favorite ways. One with kombucha and one with dairy free yogurt like probiotics, one with raspberries and one with strawberries, and both with the toppings we wanted on the day I whipped them up to photograph them but they always change based on our mood. I’ve been sharing some of our other favorites on Instagram Stories. Both are made with pitaya which I use to order online but last year it finally showed up in stores here. Before that we only got it when we were in California at smoothie shops or using dried Navitas Naturals Dragon Fruit which isn’t the same for smoothie bowls. Pitaya, or dragon fruit, is high in fiber, rich in magnesium and iron, Vitamin B2, Vitamin C, and rich in antioxidants!

Smoothie bowls are usually more filling than smoothies and we love them for breakfast, or make smaller versions for snack (or the same depending on our needs for the day with the girls sports/activities). They are a great way get the day started right, it doesn’t get much better than a delicious nutrient packed bowl that tastes like a treat. Yes a treat because something about using a spoon to eat it, the texture, and the toppings is like eating fryo (but a lot healthier)! Mom and kid loved and approved!
