Tropical Recovery Ice
Passion Tea Lemonade Shaved Ice

Recently we were out of town and I saw a snow cone stand and decided to get the girls one. I remember loving them as a kid. It has been very hot here and I figured it was a perfect time to make them. To make a healthy version at home I used the girls favorite Passion Tea Lemonade and made a Recovery Ice version for myself that hits the spot after a good workout on these crazy hot days!

Recovery Ice

Makes 1 serving

1 scoop Vega Recovery Accelerator, Tropical

ice

In a shaker mix Vega Recovery and 8 ounces of cold water. In a Vitamix pulse ice to make snow, I set mine on a 4 or 5 and pulsed 1-2 cups of ice at a time. Fill a glass, I used a small one but could have easily used a larger one. To make the rounded top I packed ice in a small glass bowl and flipped it on top of the glass. Pour Vega Recovery over the top and enjoy! I make the ice before my workout and stored it in the freezer and put my recovery in the refrigerator so all I have to do it pour it over the top after my workout.

Passion Tea Shaved Ice

Lemonade of choice, powder, pre-made (32 ounces), or concentrate

1 bag Tazo Passion Iced Tea (makes 4 cups)

ice

Boil water and steep Tazo Tea according to directions, cool. Make lemonade if making from powder or concentrate. I used a powder and used half of the amount of water so it was concentrated. Mix together lemonade and tea and chill. In a Vitamix pulse ice to make snow, I set mine on a 4 or 5 and pulsed 1-2 cups of ice at a time. To make the rounded top I packed ice in a small glass bowl and flipped it on top of the glass. Fill a glasses with desired amount of ice into a glass and pour chilled Passion Tea Lemonade over the top. Enjoy!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I receive Vega products, which I used in this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging and some recipes are made with Vega products I purchase. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
